Donating Baht for Buddha

We went for dinner at the Sunday Night Market on Tha Pae Road — which was so crowded, you’d think it was the high season not the middle of the rainy one. We gave Cole 20 baht to donate and he toddled over to the big red donation box and stuck it in the slot, like it was his job.  Well, seeing as he’s been surreptitiously slipping colored pencils, straws and the random cookie wrapper off our fifth story balcony, you might just say he’s had practice. There’s something satisfying about sliding money into a locked box, so we let him do it again. Then again.  Then one time more.  He really likes donating money to Buddha. (Oh and I had to keep trying to get the perfect shot — worth every baht).
