Toddling to the Rooftop Pool at Night

Current Location: Chiang Mai, Thailand

Cole doesn’t really talk yet, but he does let his wishes be known.  Lately, he’s been pointing at the door, taking us by the hand and bringing us upstairs to the pool.  At night we can see the lights on the mountain from Wat Phrathat Doi Suthep.  There’s a good view of the city too.  It’s quiet at night.  He pads around, climbing on chairs, picking up rocks, and peeking into the lotus flower pot which is filled with water and little fish.  It’s like he’s checking to make sure it’s still there.  Then, satisfied, he takes one of our hands and leads us back to the apartment.
