Location: Siem Reap, Cambodia Getting up at 5 AM to see the sunrise at Angkor Wat was a lot harder on us than it was on Cole. As soon as the sun popped up over the horizon, he wriggled down from my arms and ran across the long stone pathway to the temple. That morning he walked from one end of Angkor Wat and back again, his chubby cheeks jiggling with every fat-footed step, and he only stopped to closely inspect carvings at toddler-level (and there are many) and to pick up an errant stone from between the cracks and dutifully toss it off the ledge. Not only is he a better traveler than us, he’s also doing some ad hoc clean up work. |
